The Mystery Box is a publication about unsolved mysteries. There is no limit on what they are — a ghost ship, a haunted building, an eerie disappearance of a person or an airplane or a city, an event or discovery that baffles scientists. It could have happened yesterday, in ancient times, or even before oxygen appeared on the planet. It could have happened in your home town or in outer space. The only requirement is that it’s a mystery that is not yet solved.

If you have a story that you want to publish with The Mystery Box, there are a few things to keep in mind.

I. About the Stories

Non-Fiction Only

While the mystery genre is awesome and timeless, this publication is about things and events that actually happened — or that actual people say happened.

Careful With the Speculation

It is great — encouraged even — to include theories about what might explain the mystery. However, they should be theories from contemporaries, scientists, people connected to what happened. You might have a favorite theory, but be careful not to oversell it at the expense of the alternatives.
