16-Year-Old Murders Parents For Confiscating Video Game
Daniel Petric was forgiven by his surviving father.
Mark Petric survived the attack for one simple reason: his daughter and son-in-law were early to watch the baseball game.
Horrified Sister Calls Up 911
A panic-ridden Heidi Archer called 911 on October 20, 2007. She was beside herself- her voice shaking with incomprehensible urgency.
Heidi reported that her parents had been shot. The one who shot them was none other than her brother, Daniel Petric.
Daniel took advantage of Heidi’s distress and sped away in the family minivan. He was driving recklessly and appeared manic.
The van veered dangerously on the road. Daniel could be heard shouting:
“My dad shot my mom!”
It wasn’t difficult for the police to catch up to Daniel. They forced him out using roadblocks.
While being arrested, Daniel kept on repeating the same allegation. He also inquired if his dad was alive.
Strangely, he also said- with an undertone of desperation-:
“Lord, please don’t let my dad die.”
