Celebrities are often known for a life of glam. However, beneath the shadows lie darker realities, including connections with infamous serial killers. There exists a surprising intersection between criminals and public figures, from personal encounters in prison to tragic family losses.

1- Sean Penn and Richard Ramirez

Known for his Hollywood characters, Sean Penn received a 60-day jail sentence in 1987. He committed a series of offences and assaulted an unnamed person in a movie. While he was in jail, Penn realized that he was in the same place as Richard Ramirez, the “Night Stalker,” who was an infamous serial killer. He had committed several murders and assaults in 1985. He was still undergoing trial when Sean Penn crossed paths with him, eventually a death sentence.

Recognizing Penn as an actor, Ramirez reached out to him and requested an autograph. He also sent Penn a note which read “Hey, Sean, stay tough and hit them again — Richard Ramirez, 666.” The note had a drawing of the devil as well.
