I wanted to take a minute to share with the Nano and cryptocurrency community at large my thoughts for the future of The Nano Center. With the closing of a tumultuous 2018 for cryptocurrency, 2019 offers a chance at new perspectives, fresh ideas, and an influx of new innovators and inventors into the Nano ecosystem. Already rich with entrepreneurial spirit, the Nano community — born from a passion for the exciting potential and flexibility of the Nano tech — all but guarantees a future packed full of notable projects. Here at The Nano Center, we hope to be shepherds of this movement in an all-encompassing effort to help the community explore the wealth of new opportunities that Nano brings.

The Nano Center was founded last year with the primary goal of highlighting, funding, and supporting as many Nano-related projects as possible in our ecosystem. This remains our mission, and we hope users find the new website conducive to these efforts. In addition to weekly spotlighting of exciting projects in need of funding, the site will now house resident programs that are being contributed to on a daily basis within The Nano Center. These will include NanoSMS, the Distributed Proof of Work program, NanoQuake, and the Nano Green Initiative.

“The potential is there — we need only tap it.”

Inspired by ‘Is Nano Green Yet?’, I view the Nano Green Initiative as an opportunity for any and all enthusiasts interested in Nano’s green, earth-friendly tech to coalesce and collaborate together on how we can best leverage this quality and in turn make a positive impact on our planet. Community members have in the past come to me with ideas ranging from restarting the Reforestrum project to leasing a windmill in our name to offset any carbon footprint left by the network. The potential is there — we need only tap it.

I’m excited for what the potential of 2019 brings for The Nano Center. Through incredible community involvement we’ve made tremendous strides, but there’s more to come. The Nano Center must and will continue to evolve through community input. Come lend your unique voice to the project and help us shape this exciting future. Your ideas, your contributions, and your passion is what keeps this engine running. I hope you’ll join me in achieving the full potential within this center and community. To 2019.
