Break Time is Now! Submissions Closed for Vacation
The Narrative Arc is on hiatus
Good morning from the Pacific Northwest in Oregon!
This has been a busy summer for us at The Narrative Arc, and big changes have occurred for those of us running or editing publications. While we, as pub owners, strive to make things appear calm on the surface, running pubs is a huge job. More recently, things have become a bit more complicated.
- Submissions queues are different
- The banners and general pub appearances, which I have spent hours developing, had to be reimagined and recreated
- Information-gathering in order to make important publishing decisions is not always fruitful
Not that operating in a void is unproductive. We’ve done wonderful work with a large crew of talented writers this year.
I’m grateful for the incredible response to our “Home” writing queue. The number of essays and the quality of the writing has been phenomenal. In this list I included this year’s stories about your homes. What I noticed is how much you love your homes. I especially enjoyed reading about different regions. We had stories from The Philippines, Russia, stories about remodels, shacks, mansions and dirt floors.
