Coffee With a Beautiful Woman Who Wanted a Discount on My Book
She was the only one to “haggle” the price
A few months after publishing my first novel, I got a message from an old university acquaintance who asked for a discount to buy it. She was the only person to “haggle” the price of my book, which is already below the average price of books sold in major stores.
I had posted on my Instagram story about visiting a city to watch a theater play. And since she lived in that city, she messaged me about meeting to get my book. I supposed she was also trying to avoid shipping fees. I didn’t really mind giving discounts to people I know. So I accepted and we set a day and time to meet on my arrival.
For context, I have to say that this acquaintance of mine is… conventionally attractive.
Her Facebook bio at the time said something like:
“If I don’t personally know you, I’m not accepting your friend request. Go to my IG instead.”
When you visit her Instagram, you’ll see a feed full of bikini shots on various beaches and travel spots. Her photos have thousands of likes, with many commenting on the beauty of the sights, or the subject.
