Nadia Genevieve Masri is the founder and CEO of the Perksy. Masri was featured on the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center’s social franchise #FacesOfEntrepreneurship.

Perksy is a “startup that delivers compelling insights to brands through targeted consumer research. Stay tuned, we’re about to rock your world” — coming soon.

Here are some excerpts of our interview with Masri:

“I’ve spent a lot of time overcoming challenges by talking to as many people as possible. Because the more perspectives you gain, you get to see sides you wouldn’t have thought of yourself. I’ve always been a big dreamer. I like going for that top peak –that’s always what I’m headed for. Sometimes you need people to ground you a bit and say, ‘Okay, but what about this?’”

I think ‘work-life balance’ is overrated. I’ve heard that people who say that are called workaholics. I just want to alter it and say, there needs to be stress-happiness balance. Make sure you’re working a lot, but that you’re also living your life a lot. Just make sure that you’re happy. Getting too stressed out helps no one. Working yourself to the ground helps no one. But you do have to work a lot and sometimes that means sacrificing the things that other people would do.
