A Baboon at the Head of the Parade?

A Poem

… What do you do with a baboon at the head of the parade?
Do you shout and scream and say :
“There is a baboon at the head of the parade!”
Do you try to psychoanalyze the baboon?
Do you shame the baboon for being a baboon?
Do you say Wow, At least this is a change from the clowns.
Perhaps you salute, and say, keep in step, we are all in the parade.
Or do you get a broom, call to your friends and say…

Let’s clean up this mess …. and
Who put the baboon at the head of the parade?
Did you see that letter by the 70 senators?
That said the Senate now is a charade
What keeps him there?
What game being played has us led by a game show host?
We are nine months before election,
Are we merry, on our way to being toast?
That is long enough to have a baby…
Isn’t our future our baby?
Or is this just a choice between A and B.
