Statement of Solidarity In Re: DSA Disability Working Group Steering Committee Resignations

Or, The National Razor Stands in Solidarity With The DSA Disability Working Group and Those Who Recently Resigned

Just this week, the Democratic Socialists of America Disability and Accessibility Working Group’s steering committee resigned due to harassment. That’s pretty bad, folks, seeing as DSA in general has taken the route of limboing below the lowest bar in terms of accommodating comrades with disabilities. Usually, those of us with disabilities are treated as a theoretical, ‘if more show up we will look for accessible spaces’ (I wonder why we are not showing up.) or ‘we need online voting so that they can participate’ (holding disabled comrades hostage for something that doesn’t actually enable inclusion in chapter business is, not the best).

With all that out of the way, special thanks to Jeremy Gong, Amber Frost, and their sympathizers mostly on the chapo subreddit. Without these neo-Menshevik Kautskyite wreckers who are more afraid of communism than the rise of fascism, we couldn’t possibly sell DSA to the democrats.

What’s burning out some of our most active and dedicated members and refusing to accomidate comrades with disabilities compared to that?
