Origins #35 — Aaaand they are here
The first DULO collection has landed in Amsterdam
Our efforts during the last few weeks have been mainly working on our website, as well as remotely coordinating the shipment of the first production batch of DULO shirts and their arrival in Amsterdam, from where we are going to store and send them to our clients.
Sometime last week, we got a word from our manufacturing partner that everything has been packaged and ready to make it’s way to us.
The things that were to be sent our way were:
- The first production batch of shirts, already packaged in their beautiful boxes and wrapped in a stylish Italian black paper
- Envelopes that are the appropriate size to fit our box.
- The booklets that are going to go in each box.
Putting all of those pieces together means that we would be ready to start delivering a complete product. And that, hopefully, would create some great reactions upon getting it.
Every box we ship will be in one of the envelopes and will include the shirt, accompanied by the booklet and personal note.
The initial delivery was planned for Tuesday morning, but instead a call from the driver surprised us that he would arrive early and be able to deliver the goods on Monday evening, so we adjusted accordingly and received the boxes.
Note from Marin Gerov:
It was almost midnight when we were done with the unloading of the truck that brought our shirts. We were quite tired (and sweaty), so we decided to check up on our collection the next day with a fresh pair of eyes.
The following day, we finally saw in person our dress shirts in colors other than white! That was the first time!!! While we have seen and approved personally the colored fabric samples, we never saw shirts made of them. Happy to say that this is not the case anymore. The shirts look great, the colors are smashing and we can’t wait to start shipping those beauties all over the world!
Next Steps
While finalising the website, we need to go through the whole inventory that we received, record and document it and insert that as inventory data in Shopify to start tracking how many units are sold and how many we have still available.
We will also be using Shopify as an inventory system for now, it has all the basic functionalities that we need to get going in an organized and documented way. In case we need any additional functionalities, there are also a lot of Shopify apps that we can rely on for inventory management, accounting, CRM etc.
The next steps are clear, with the shirts finally with us, we also hope we can start creating some more visual content.
P.S. We are also thinking of naming the first collection “Origins”, what do you think?
Thank you for your time! Please give a few 👏 and/or leave a comment. It means a lot us and helps other people hear about our journey!
