Boy, Howdy! The things I could tell you about my brain disorder. All drawings are by the author.

The Neuron Express is always looking for writers with mental health stories. We prefer true stories that are informative, uplifting, and even humorous.

Having mental health issues can be a drag. Therefore, I think if you can find a bit of levity from the trials and tribulations, then why not.

Guidelines for The Neuron Express (TNE):

  1. Each story must have a Title, Subtitle, and a Kicker. (Formatting your story)
  2. The stories must be true.
  3. Keep your story positive if possible — but not necessary.
  4. Stories should be under 9 minutes.
  5. All pictures, images, and drawings must be sourced.
  6. Do not play doctor! Suggestions but with cited references.
  7. Editing suggestions should not be argued but merely discussed. (We are doing it for free too.)

What are we looking for?

  1. We’re looking for engaging stories about how you battled your monster.
  2. We want to hear from the caregivers for kids with epilepsy and the stories they have to share.
