When the pandemic hit, Drew Brophy caught COVID-19. But he believed his body could beat the virus. So he waited too long to go to the hospital.

By the time Drew went to the hospital, his lungs were destroyed. As they wheeled him to the ICU, he overheard a technician telling the doctor, “These are the worst scans I’ve ever seen of someone’s lungs.”
Drew realized they were talking about him.
At the hospital, everyone wore hazmat suits. The ICU was locked down. But despite the facts, Drew still believed he would recover quickly.
