The NDE (near-death experience) of Barbara Ireland
Barbara Ireland was on stage in Brooklyn.
She was singing alongside Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard. Everything was going great, and the audience enjoyed their songs. But Barbara’s eye caught one man who was not enjoying the show.
Barbara’s mind could not ignore the bored look on the giant man’s face.
She began to spiral, asking herself many questions.
“Are we playing badly?”
“Is my singing bad?”
“It’s my voice.” “How am I even on stage with Stone?”
Barbara managed to finish her set. At the hotel, the negative self-talk became unbearable. She decided to book a fear-conquering program in the middle of the night.
The course promised that, through a series of fear-inducing obstacles, the participants would rise above their primal fears.
Barbara went to the camp. Because of the NDA she signed, what she went through can’t be disclosed, but every day was very hard.
