The doctor who was scheduled for Irada Abbasova’s surgery didn’t show up. So they asked Irada to accept a replacement. Irada took the deal.
She didn’t know that the hospital gave her case to a team that had just finished their shift, preparing to go home. So everything was being rushed because the substitute surgeon wanted to be done as soon as possible.
Irada received the prescribed dose of anesthesia, and they waited for it to take effect. But Irada stayed alert. So, the doctor concluded that they should increase the dose.
