The NDE (near-death experience) of Brooke Grove
In December 2010, doctors gave Brooke Grove medication for her complex autoimmune disease. Her lungs and kidneys were failing from the complex autoimmune disease.
The medication hit her liver like a final blow. Her whole system crashed. She fell and hit her head hard. The brain injury, combined with organ failure, sent her into a deep coma.
A helicopter rushed her to Johns Hopkins Hospital.
In the ICU, Brooke felt herself floating above her physical form. At first, part of her still felt connected to her body lying on the hospital bed. She wanted to take care of it and make it feel safe.
But something else was pulling her away.
There was this magnetic, gravitational-like pull to the other side.
Brooke moved rapidly and pierced through the atmosphere. The hospital room faded as she soared into space among the stars. And the other side opened up before her like a cosmic ocean of light and love.
What Brooke found there was more beautiful than anything she had ever experienced.
