Chapter 54 Bait

As McGreevy left the hospital, New America’s Cloud filled with stories and rumors about the captured Reapers at Government House. Several of the “stories” claimed that the Reapers were talking and implicating coconspirators.

In reality, those stories were fake news that Mycroft planted on McGreevy’s orders. The hope was that the fake news would frighten the conspirators into making an assassination attempt on the suspects.
