Submissions

We’re open to submissions, so here are the basic steps to follow:

1. Put your article into Google Docs and share an editable version with counterculturepublication@gmail.com.
2. If we like the piece and decide to post it, it’ll go through the editing process.
3. If you don’t already have a Medium account, set one up and we’ll add you as a writer on the publication.
4. Save your article as a draft to The New Counterculture; it will receive a final read-through before being posted by an editor.

Guidelines:

This is a publication for those who are opposed to regressive leftism, political correctness, identity politics, and the social justice movement. We welcome conservative, centrist, libertarian, and classical liberal viewpoints which value freedom of speech, objective truth, capitalism, equality of opportunity, and human rights.

• We are critical of Donald Trump’s presidency.
• We are critical of Justin Trudeau as Prime Minister of Canada.
• We do not promote the pro-choice viewpoint in regards to abortion.
• We do not take an official stance on gun control.
• We are against communism and socialism, and favour a capitalist economic system.
• We encourage religious dialogue, comparative religion, and criticism of religious teachings.
• We support gender equality while also being critical of the modern-day western feminist movement.
• We seek to represent voices of the younger generation, so we prefer articles from writers between the ages of 16 and 30.
