Now will the media (especially Lalas) stop freaking out about the USMNT barring the entire team getting dengue fever on a trip to Guatemala and having to forfeit. The US had their “backs against the wall” going into this match against Panama kinda like how you and ya homies backs would be against the wall when posted up in the club on Saturday nights, just chillin’.

I guess

The game went how anyone who isn’t paid in how many clicks they can generate via hysteria would expect it to go. 1st Half — USMNT dominating from the opening whistle, a few weak counters from Panama but really one way traffic that let our fraudulent CB partnership get a chance to think about their fuck ups to come. Pulisic scored early, he assisted again and the US blew about 3–4 other clear cut chances. Panama shot at Howard a couple times. The game was over before 8pm. Statements still had to be made and 90 minutes needed to be played.

Bruce Arena will look like a genius for putting out this lineup, even though its a lineup and a shakeup that’s been needed for a while. Yedlin coming back was huge as a confident defender who has matured in England and also offered pace on the right side, not to mention cleaning up many Besler-Gonzalez errors. A pacey USMNT attack in front of a makeshift defense had the game wide open. Nagbe and Arriola provided good width(sometimes too much as Voldermort’s son looked red in the face chasing Panamanians all over the center of midfield all night) and exciting pace. Bobby Shou was definitely an unsung player on the night, as he created so many link ups between midfield and attack. He was rewarded late with a goal after shitting his pants in front of goal earlier.

I didn’t watch any of the game after Dempsey came on in the 71st minute.

So the US gets a “big” win at home 4–0 against a CONCACAF team that isnt Mexico or Costa Rica, so onto Trinidad, Tuesday. Gonna be another HIGH STAKES game with A LOT ON THE LINE. Be sure to watch, or don’t.
