Manila, Philippines — It was somehow fitting that Philippines Olympian and Taekwondo Ambassador/ ASEAN President for the Taekwondo Federation, Monsour del Rosario never had a shift in perspective and the power of believing in the talent of Filipino Athletes to go for the much coveted Gold on the 30th SEA Games, as He sits in an interview with Anchors Pinky Webb (CNN Philippines) and Cito Beltran (ONE News and Cignal TV Live).

Riding the storm as the Pioneer in Taekwondo in the Philippines most of his adult life, Del Rosario expressed his undying faith in the Filipino fighting spirit pertaining to all Athletes Competing in the 30th SEA Games in the interviews.

While the sports world is full of colorful characters, it’s no surprise that Monsour’s personality profile is unique, even charismatic for being a coach for young Taekwondo athletes on the rise, since Taekwondo is not a native Martial Art and Combat Sport in the Country.

All these, Monsour del Rosario & the Country owes to Sung-Chon Hong who has devoted decades to mentoring, developing and promoting Taekwondo nationwide and worldwide, and is popularly considered the Father of Taekwondo in the Philippines.
