Day 22 Lego Creature

I spotted this creature at the Missouri Botanical Gardens this summer. He is great and yes, he is as tall as I am.

He was in the Climatron building along with some other odd friends all made of Lego bricks. They were the subjects of Nature Connects: Art with LEGO Bricks, a special exhibit designed and created by New York City artist Sean Kenney. Purportedly, he used more than 300,000 LEGO pieces to make the various installations. The exhibit is now touring at various other botanical gardens in North America through 2019.

My friend Amy’s son John had just toured the exhibit this summer and we all met for lunch. John was just bubbly with excitement telling me about his favorite pieces. I went to the Gardens that afternoon and I got a bit bubbly myself. These were absolutely CUTE and CLEVER and made my day!
