Postscript: Tommy Thompson and Alison Antekeier were arrested at a hotel in Boca Raton, Florida on January 28th, 2015, almost exactly one month after this story was published.

Antekeier admitted in court to sending approximately $2.5 million worth of gold coins to a secret bank account that Tommy Thompson owned in Belize. Both have pled guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
