Node.js is a collaborative effort with many moving pieces working in sync to keep the platform and community moving forward at a rapid pace. Much of this work in done within our Working Groups (WGs). Did you know Node.js has more than 10 WGs? These teams make sure Node.js is looked after and continually improved upon. While the groups vary in size and responsibility, they all play a critical role in the progress of Node.js.

To keep the community and end users better informed of all that is being done — and to give thanks to our many active contributors — we are starting a new Working Group Series. This new blog will showcase the work, progress, participants and priorities within each working group on a regular basis. In each post, Working Group leaders will share updates on their main goals, accomplishments, next steps, and perhaps most importantly, how you can get involved.

We’ve started with the Security Working Group update, and will continue to post others on a monthly basis. We are excited for these teams to share what they’ve been busy working on. As always, if you have any questions about Node.js, the working groups or how you can get involved, please reach out to info@node.js.com.

Stay tuned for more!
