July is synonymous with schools out for summer, sunshine, ice cream, holidays, and festivals celebrating music and the arts.
Those festivals may be rooted in a mentor, or God from Greek mythology. Apollo (born in July) was gifted musically. His accomplishments included mastering the lyre and a celebrated singing voice. Was Apollo the first rock 🎸god?
Such affinity with music would have led him to develop a connection with storytelling and poetry. Indeed, he is known as a God of the Arts.
For July, we celebrate art, myth and narrative through the ages. We also celebrate each and every one of our contributors for The Scriber’s Nook and MuserScribe for their storytelling, memoirs, poetry, and musings. Keep them coming!
