Take a closer look into the amazing year BitGuid has had with some impressive numbers for GuildChat, TronTrade, GuildWallet, PLAT and more!

Welcome to BitGuild’s 2019 Year in Review report, our first-ever recap of products, updates, and developments that defined our company throughout the year. 2019 was an eventful year for BitGuild, to say the least. We kicked off the year in transition, having recently migrated our Bitizens flagship game to the TRON network. Realizing the shortcomings of the Ethereum network and the slow adoption of blockchain technology, in 2019 we looked to new horizons to develop products that could best serve the crypto community. In the first half of the year, we migrated PLAT to TRON, suspended development of Bitizens, and launched TronTrade, our brand-new decentralized exchange. TronTrade quickly became the #1 DEX, confirming we were on the right track. In the second half of the year, we made the decision to revamp GuildChat and turn it into the one-stop-shop for all crypto-related needs.

We now approach 2020 with big plans for all our products, including multi-chain integration, a desktop version of GuildChat, and much more. But before we ring in the new year, let’s look back at some of the data that tells the story of BitGuild in 2019.

BitGuild

As BitGuild’s focus shifted and our vision expanded, so did our reach on several different fronts. We continued to use $PLAT as a measure for the company’s success and got the token listed on numerous exchanges. We also built up our community management capabilities and even donated money to charity!

In total, BitGuild burned 505 million PLAT generated from the revenue of all BitGuild products. The token was listed in 9 new exchanges, including BitForex, ABCC Exchange, CoinMarketCap, and Delta. In May, we completed the migration from ERC20 to TRC20 PLAT, concluding a cycle that started at the end of 2018.

After migrating to the TRON network, we took our role of Super Representatives seriously. We produced a total of 389,090 blocks in 2019 — that’s a daily production of 1066 blocks! In January, we also updated our rewards distribution from 115% to 100% of the TRX produced.

In keeping with BitGuild’s values of putting customers first, in 2019 we strove to make sure our community felt heard, valued, and happy. We introduced the GuildKeepers Program to GuildChat, deploying it in January and September with 20 GuildKeepers who assisted in moderating the app’s official supergroups.

As we make a name for ourselves in the crypto and tech worlds, we have more and more opportunities to make our mark. BitGuild CEO, Jared Psigoda, participated in the Binance Charity Poker Cup hosted by Wink.org in June. And… he won! His victory meant that we were able to donate a total of 1,601,000 TRX to the Binance Charity Foundation.

We closed out the year by launching our new website — along with a complete new roadmap — on December 16, 2019!

GuildChat

GuildChat launched in 2018, and it wasn’t long before we realized the potential it had to become a hub for lovers of all things crypto. For much of 2019, we worked hard on a complete revamp of the app, which was finally released in beta version at the end of October.

In 2019, GuildChat was downloaded by 28,747 users, most of which were in the United States, Indonesia, Australia, United Kingdom, and South Korea. The number of daily active users reached its highest peak in February, with 4,901 members using the app every day. That’s higher than any other dApp registered in 2019.

The Coin Pouch was recharged 38,265 times by 1,830 users, and 12,143 users used the built-in wallet to withdraw funds 378,008 times. Ka-ching!

Proving just how much our community loves GuildChat, the app was opened almost 29 million times over the year. That’s right — 29 million times, an average of 79,450 open times per day.

Our users were also busy sending and collecting Coin Drops, GuildChat’s favorite feature. A total of 1,664,543 Coin Drops were sent within the app — proving that sharing is caring. 770 different tokens were used for Coin Drops, and the most popular ones were TRX, PLAT, PLAY, BTZC and TERC. The total amount in USD of all Coin Drops sent in GuildChat was $133,280 for TRC tokens and $467,060 for ERC tokens. That’s over $600,000 just in Coin Drops!

TronTrade

Launched on Christmas Eve 2018, TronTrade has been nothing short of a resounding success. It’s been listed on CMC, Delta, CoinStats, and Blockfolio. We’ve integrated TRC10 and USDT tokens. We revamped the trading UI and have constantly released new features for all our traders. But it’s the numbers that really do all the talking.

Soon after launch, there was a constant flow of new token projects asking to be listed on TronTrade. In 2019, we received 182 listing requests, and vetted each project carefully. Of those, we listed 24 — averaging out to 2 new projects every month.

From the first to the last project listed in 2019, TronTrade users have been more than eager to buy, sell, and diversify their portfolios. A total of 2,441,369 transactions were made on TronTrade this year, adding up to a total volume of over 3.7 billion TRX traded. Well, done, you guys!

Trading events quickly became a staple of TronTrade and were the perfect way to promote recently-listed projects and get the community engaged and excited. In 2019, we held a total of 29 events and spent more than 1 million TRX in rewards to our traders. Many of the projects we listed went even further in their efforts to connect with the TronTrade community, participating in AMAs to answer users’ questions and make themselves known. TronTrade held 8 AMAs this year, and we hope to host even more in 2020!

As previously mentioned, TronTrade has become the #1 decentralized exchange. And we’ve kept it that way by making sure our traders can easily reach us and have their concerns addressed. The TronTrade Telegram account has 3,750 users who sent more than 100,000 messages in 2019. That’s more than 250 messages per day — although Fridays saw the highest activity. Meanwhile, on Twitter, our account boasts 5,686 followers and posted 341 tweets this year, reaching a total of 2,885,000 impressions. The top tweets talked about listing news and trading events.

GuildWallet

Though GuildWallet launched in 2018, we spent the first half of 2019 improving it to give our users a vastly improved experience with GuildWallet 2.0. This year, GuildWallet was downloaded by 1,213 users, and used in over 1,200,000 operations.

BitGuild on Social Media

A great part of BitGuild’s success has been our commitment to always listen to our community and make sure to bring them on our journey. Social media has played a big role in this — from Medium and Twitter to Telegram, Facebook, Discord, and even Reddit.

Every week, we strove to keep you guys updated on all the comings and goings at BitGuild HQ. We published a total of 28 State of the Guild posts on Medium with news about TronTrade, GuildWallet, GuildChat, and more.

This was a great year for BitGuild, and even with the ups and downs of the crypto industry, we managed to not only stay relevant and on top of our game, but we to bring several new products and features to our community to enjoy. We are extremely proud of the work we have done so far and looking forward to what 2020 has in store for us.

Once again, thank you for your continuous support throughout the year. It goes without saying that none, absolutely none of our accomplishments would have been possible without the backing and trust of our partners and community.

BitGuild aims to bring blockchain and cryptocurrency adoption to the masses by providing compelling experiences that are easily accessible. Between GuildChat, our crypto social app, GuildWallet, the most user-friendly browser extension wallet, and TronTrade, our decentralized exchange, we’re firing on all cylinders to usher in a new age, changing the way people interact with their digital goods.
