Here’s a look at what we’ve been working on
Hi everyone! It’s the BitGuild engineering team updating you from our offices here in San Francisco. Our post is coming out a little late this week since we were focused on getting the Bitizens pre-sale page up for all of you. If you haven’t made your pre-launch purchase yet, head over here to do it. In this issue, we’ll cover our progress on the marketplace, our upcoming transaction history feature, and some details on the Bitizens pre-sale.
Upcoming Feature: Transaction History
Transaction history is our nod to the asynchronous nature of the blockchain. When you buy or sell an item on the marketplace, the transaction may take up to several minutes to complete. Transaction history gives you a bird’s eye view of your purchases and sales, and which are pending, failed, or successful. We’re also including pending and failed badge counts in the header so you can track everything at a glance.
Bitizens Pre-Sale Details
Last week we completed our first pre-sale campaign for our first BitGuild game title: Bitizens Pioneers. We achieved this using a Smart Contract, of course, which gives buyers tickets that will be redeemable in the game when it launches. The item inventory and accounting is all on the blockchain for transparency, so in addition to tracking the pre-sale on our page, you can track it using tools like Etherscan.
BitGuild’s mission is to revolutionize the global gaming industry by creating a platform for a brand new class of games that live on the blockchain. Blockchain games completely redefine the relationship between players and developers by facilitating full and true ownership of in-game assets, cheap & safe item trading, cross-game compatibility of items & currency, and more.
