Greetings, Guildmates!

With Wardrobe now live, we look towards making improvements based on your feedback, while adding some cool new things that didn’t quite make it into the previous release. Take a look below on what we’ve been working on recently, and what you can look forward to in the coming updates.

Bitizens Game Update v0.2.1

Next week’s update is a fairly light update. The team has been focused on cleaning up the backend database, and thanks to the Bounty Program we have been able to address some major issues found by our very own community. Here’s what you can expect to see in the next update.

  • Added brand new animations in the room
  • Added a new Bitropolis background
  • Added animations to the background scene
  • Improved living quarter camera angles and object aspect ratios
  • Added an animated platform scene in the Creator
  • Font changes to match the overall style
  • Fixed a database issue
  • Fixed several tooltip issues on mouseover
  • Fixed various minor bugs

Future Plans

The BitGuild community is pretty diverse, and we’re happy to have players accessing the portal from all over the world. With that in mind, we think it would be nice for users to play the game in their native language, so we’ve been working on multi-language support.

UGC (User-generated Content) is also something that we’re exploring for Bitizens, as we’re thinking of ways to get our community members involved in creating content for the game. We haven’t locked down exactly how this will work yet, but check back often as we will open up new ways to contribute and receive rewards.

Lastly, we’ve got three major holidays on the way! Make sure to check out what festivities we have planned for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the Winter Holidays — you’ll be able to get some cool holiday-themed content for your Bitizen!

Claiming your Founder’s Items

Since the release of wardrobe function, guildmates that participated in the previous events are able to claim their promised items. However, some of our participants have not registered on the platform, and some used a wallet service other than Metamask during the BitGuild platform crowd sale. That brought us challenges to properly deploy items that we promised. We hereby invite all the inactive users to come back to claim their Founder’s Items (you should have received instructions from us via email).

Thanks for sticking with us for another Bitizens update post! We’ll see you in the next one — until then, you can find us on Discord.

BitGuild’s mission is to revolutionize the global gaming industry by creating a platform for a brand new class of games that live on the blockchain. Blockchain games completely redefine the relationship between players and developers by facilitating full and true ownership of in-game assets, cheap & safe item trading, cross-game compatibility of items & currency, and more.
