Upcoming GuildChat version and Platform Infrastructure updates

Welcome to the State of the Guild, our weekly roundup of news from the BitGuild ecosystem. This week, we have lots of GuildChat updates as well as news about our multi-chain integration efforts and upcoming TronTrade events. Let’s dig in.

GuildChat

The GuildChat team has spent the last few days working on development of the upcoming version of the app. Up to now, 50% of the development has been completed, and this version is scheduled to be released right before Christmas. The new update will include the following features:

  • Search chat history
  • Send contact card to chat
  • Mute someone in a group
  • Send GIFs in chat
  • Select multiple messages in chat to delete, forward, or download (only media can be downloaded)
  • View and manage all media in one chat
  • Swipe left and right to view images and videos in one chat
  • Notify users of being tagged in a chat and jump to that message
  • Leave a note when adding someone as a contact
  • Leave a note when applying to join a group
  • Show groups in common and number of friends in common on profile page
  • Float browser to play dApps and chat at the same time
  • Add coins to watchlist in Market
  • Multiple languages
  • Search for friends using GuildChat UID (Unique identification)

In the next few weeks, the team will be focused on finishing development of this update, and also adding some requests from the Marketing team to use in upcoming events.

In other GuildChat news, our Bug Bounty Program has been a tremendous success! All the technical bugs reported by the community were fixed, and we are now working on some of the suggestions brought up. One of the most common complaints from our community and partners is that the group capacity on GuildChat is too limited. We are now studying options to address this issue. Over the next few days, we’ll have a schedule for development of bigger groups, as well as Public Groups, which will allow new and existing users to discover interest groups within GuildChat. This will greatly enhance the community experience for our users, as they will now be able to find and connect with people who share their interests and passions.

Platform Infrastructure

As we’ve previously covered on State of the Guild, we have a dedicated team working to integrate new chains to our products — the Platform Infrastructure Team. Currently, the team is focused on GuildWallet, having already completed 25% of pages development: login, register, wallet selection, wallet confirmation, and main page.

The next step for the team is to complete the multi-chain SDK to integrate on GuildChat and GuildWallet, as well as complete Wallet Management for GuildWallet 3.0. This includes:

  • Multi-coin wallet import, switch, export
  • Single coin wallet import, switch, export
  • Wallet balance, transactions, tokens and transfers

TronTrade

Meanwhile, the TronTrade team is working with partners on some special trading events to celebrate the holidays, and we’ll be releasing the details soon! The team is also working closely with the Platform Infrastructure team to integrate new chains to the exchange, which will expand its reach to projects and communities outside of the Tron Network.

And that’s it for this week! Make sure to follow us on Twitter and Telegram for live updates and check back in next Friday for a fresh round of news.
