Why Kardashians Realising Their Beauty Standards Harmed Women Is Too Little Too Late
The damage is already done — and the ‘beauty tax’ is likely the highest it’s ever been
Until recently, I wasn’t even aware that Kardashians continued the Keeping Up with the Kardashians thing.
It turns out they did. Just under a different name — The Kardashians.
And in the trailer for its upcoming season, the youngest sibling, Kylie Jenner, made quite a surprising statement.
‘All of us just need to have a bigger conversation about the beauty standards that we’re setting,’ she’s seen telling her sisters. She then adds she doesn’t want her 5-year-old daughter, Stormi, to follow in her footsteps regarding cosmetic procedures.
In the following clip, Kylie also tells her friend, ‘I wish I never touched anything to begin with.’
Well. This could be yet another marketing ploy designed to grab people’s attention and make them watch the latest season of their show. But perhaps the youngest in the Kardashian-Jenner clan is actually regretting altering her face with injectables and feels it’s about time we had a ‘bigger conversation’ around beauty standards.
