For weeks now, we’ve been hinting at a big announcement and now it’s finally time to unveil that Nsonye is hosting its 4th Technical Bootcamp. In case you still can’t tell, we’re super excited to welcome and train a new batch of women and girls with high-value tech skills. Needless to say, this isn’t our first rodeo as we have already trained 250+ women and girls in our last three cohorts. You can check out what our past students have to say about their experience learning with us.

What Is The 4th Technical Bootcamp All About?

The fourth Technical BootCamp is one of our flagship activities directed at training and equipping women and girls between the ages of 15 and 35 with technical skills. This training program is the 4th in line as we have already completed three cohorts since our inception.

The genesis of our training bootcamps is rooted in the part of our mission statement that addresses SDG goals on gender equality, and economic growth. We train women and girls in these skills to equip them economically and shorten the gender gap in STEM in Africa.

To that end, since Nsonye’s inception, we have hosted numerous training bootcamps from our hours-long technical writing bootcamps to our major training cohorts spanning weeks, to our Jobberman soft skills certification course. Our 4th Technical BootCamp is a weeks-long skills acquisition training.

What Skills Do We Train In?

Our training bootcamps are focused on equipping women and girls with highly employable tech skills and this means that sometimes the skills we train in, in each cohort are subject to change. Overall, we have trained women and girls in the following skills:

  • Web Development
  • UI/UX Design
  • Data Analysis
  • Power BI
  • Product Design
  • Product Management

In this technical BootCamp, we would be training participants in the following skills:

Who is Sponsoring This Bootcamp?

From the onset of our operations as Nsonye, we have been very lucky to have amazing organizations and people who believe in our mission and sponsor our activities. With this fourth technical BootCamp, the case isn’t any different. Earlier this year, we were selected as beneficiaries of the FREE STEM fund organized and given by the Women Win organization, an amazing partner who believes in the work we are doing.

It is thanks to them, that we can organize and hold this technical BootCamp.
