I lay awake in dreams
another night gone by
waiting for your return my love
from beyond the realm of sky.

Reclaiming a dark
and desolate place
the moon rose in my soul to
provide a glittering path for you
embrace and make me whole

I feel you underneath the stars
although you cannot say
your warmth confesses
undying love
I cry, can you not stay?
