Costco Cup Week 10 Recap

After another deluge of rain on the course at the start of the week, Rideau View’s maintenance staff shined once again, getting the course in shape for playing on Wednesday. By Wednesday afternoon, the course had recovered from being unrecognizable and completely flooded.

The format for the week was best one net score on par 5’s, best two net scores on par 4’s, and best three net scores on par 3’s. With white tees, soft greens and preferred lies throughout, the course was very benign and yielded low scores. The front nine winners were Dan Kelly, Liam Maguire, Rick Bracken, and Bob Kucher. The back nine and overall winners were Donnie Gallant, Paul Sauve, Colin Harding and Bruce MacPhee. Second place overall were the team of Mike Clist, Bill Holzman, Wally Brennan, and Rob Hill.
