Another Wednesday afternoon is in the books at Rideau View Golf Club as Week 8 of the Costco Cup concluded on July 12.

The format was a post round two man blind draw based on net stable-ford points. This format required solid play and lucking out with a good partner. The front nine winners were Donnie Gallant and Colin Harding, with Tim Browne and Wally “5 for 3” Brennan finishing runners up. The back nine was won by Tim Browne and Chris Vickers, while 2nd went to Wally Brennan and Brett Montsion. The overall 18-hole champions were Donnie Gallant and Chris Vickers, with the pairings of Zach Coakeley/Colin Harding and Mike Nowack/5 for 3’ Brennan sharing 2nd.

With less winners to split the pot with than the usual week, several names skyrocketed up the season-long Costco Cup leaderboard.

Stay tuned for more on next week’s format.
