The Colorado Avalanche are having a particularly down season so far, but you really wouldn’t be able to tell based off of their newsfeed on their website.

Like any team website, the Avs want to give anyone that visits the best representation of the their organization. While they continue to publish pieces that maybe go around the fact that they aren’t having the best season, there is something to be said about an organization that is self aware and can call a spade a spade.

Personally, I think it would be okay if the Avs had called their season what it has been so far. I also understand that positive press has to come from somewhere, and there is no better place for this to come from than inside the organization.

No one knows the team better than someone that works for the team, but I feel it’s hard for these stories to gain traction when the team isn’t off to a great start in 2016.

The stories in the feed mainly come from the same person, but there are occasional write up from a staff writer at NHL.com.
