How It Works
Our new lottery system functions similarly to Powerball, without the need to pull an actual Powerball number, making the chances to win a bit higher. Instead, participants only need to match five numbers to win big, with the chance to hit the jackpot every two weeks. The more tickets sold, the larger the prize pool.
Simply put, every other week, a new drawing is held and five winning numbers are selected. If your numbers match the winning numbers, you win a share of the prize pool which is funded by the ticket sales generated by Zeus Finance.
Users will have the opportunity to purchase as many tickets as they want, for 2 USDC each, with 5 numbers associated with each ticket. The user will have the choice to choose 5 numbers, between 1 and 20, or have the 5 numbers randomly generated. If the ticket’s 5 numbers match the 5 winning numbers drawn, the user holding the winning ticket receives 60% of the prize pool, and Zeus Finance receives 40%, distributed through a smart contract mechanism (if there are multiple winners, the 60% prize pool is split evenly).
The ticket numbers have to match the same numbers as the winning numbers (though, the order does not matter). Numbers also cannot be repeated, which means that numbers on a ticket cannot be 2–2–11–7–5, for example. If there is no winner upon closing the lottery, all existing tickets will be cleared and the lottery will be opened back up for new tickets. The prize pool keeps growing until there is a winner. As popularity increases, we will move it to a monthly drawing.
