In today’s age of mass technology, it is easy to think that any information you need is simply the touch of a button away. This is a common misconseption. Often times, after a paper or scientific journal is published it is sold to databases. Universities and other higher education typically have access to this information, but shells out hundreds of thousand of dollars, or even millions of dollars. Shouldn’t this information be free?

The guerilla open access manifesto calls to everyone for moral justice. While it may not be legal, the right thing isn’t always the moral thing. Aaron Swartz calls on people to follow his lead it helping to make all of this information available to everyone, as well as stop the publishing of such expensive journals.
