This bizarre little book reads like a screenplay but stings like a literary knife to the heart.

Toshikazu Kawaguchi left me bawling last night. Properly ugly crying in the bath. Even my cat, who has been so understanding and supportive throughout my pregnancy, decided it was too much and left in search of laundry baskets and other, happier objects of her affection.
