The Open Kimono

75-word novel poem

Photo by Adelia Ritchie, San Isidro de El Géneral, Costa Rica

Exhausted from the long trip,
she unpacked,
putting things away
in her tiny room
above the studio workshop.

No air conditioning needed
at 3700 feet altitude.
There were a few ants
around the sink drain,
nothing to worry about,
and the mosquito net above her cozy bed

A safe place to spill your guts, expose your vulnerable side, let it all hang out
