About Alexey
Alexey Kozulyaev is the head of the Moscow School of Audiovisual Translation and the CEO of RuFilms LLC. Teaching audiovisual translation is not a teaching fashion fad. It is born by dire market necessity.
There are two reasons for that. The first one is the steady growth of the AV translation market following the exponential expansion of the content supply both for education and entertainment.
The second one is the fact that classical rules of text translation arenât applicable to the AVT translation to an extent that makes corporations and AV practitioners set up their own training schools and courses.
The School has developed unique university-level AV translation programs and contributed to the emergence of RuFilms as the leading company in the Russian subtitle translation market featuring such customers as Blizzard Entertainment, Aeroflot/Aerogroup, FOX CIS, BTI, Deluxe, VSI.
Alexey holds a PhD degree in language education.
In this episode you will learn:
- How audiovisual translation is different from other types of translation;
- What skills you need to translate audiovisual materials;
- How the quality of audiovisual translation is evaluated;
- -Where you can find clients for audiovisual translation;
âŚand much more!
