Lean Into the Dim Days

How to take advantage of those uninspiring days

Inspiration is like a light we sometimes have no control over. No one is always inspired. We all experience dim days, those days we don’t feel like doing anything creative or productive.

There are two directions we can take on those days — we can chase inspiration or we can chill out and let inspiration come to us. It’s difficult to choose the latter, especially when there are tasks to complete and deadlines to meet. But to choose the former is counterproductive and seldom yields results.

While we all have responsibilities and things to do and people to see, it’s important we pay heed to the signals the body and mind send us. I believe those days of dimness are signals we need to chill out and just be. Rather than resist, take advantage of the signals sent your way.
