Lost

A Poem

As I wander through a labyrinth of shadows,
Amidst twisted paths of uncertainty,
The cold stone walls close in.

Each new fork reveals a new direction,
And the needle on my compass spins wildly,
Pointing everywhere but nowhere.

I desperately trace the map with trembling fingers,
But it yields no salvation,
Only a cruel dimension of existence.

My dreams have eroded into dead ends,
Leaving behind in their wakes,
The crushing weight of nightmares that remain.

But life’s true journey lies within,
Finding oneself in the trails,
And embracing the lostness of the quest itself.

So, as I walk and my footsteps fade,
Maybe it’s in this maze,
I’ll discover the hidden road to peace.
