Confidence and narcissism are often used interchangeably, but they are not the same. Confidence is a healthy sense of self-assurance and belief in one’s abilities, while narcissism is an excessive admiration of oneself and disregard for others.

It is important to recognize the difference between the two and understand when someone has crossed the line from confidence to narcissism.

What is Confidence?

Confidence is a positive and healthy trait. It is the belief in oneself and one’s abilities. Confident individuals have a healthy sense of self-assurance, and they are comfortable with who they are.

They are not afraid to take risks, try new things, or speak up for themselves. Confidence is essential for personal growth and success in life.

What is Narcissism?

Narcissism is a personality disorder characterized by an excessive sense of self-importance, a need for admiration, and a lack of empathy. Narcissistic individuals have an inflated view of their abilities and accomplishments and believe they are superior to others.
