Staying Faithful when Things Get Busy
The school semester has begun, and where does the time go?
I tend to write the most about things I am either troubled by or things I personally am struggling with.
And many of my new followers may have noticed I’ve been writing less and I’m not as on top of my publication.
I explained it. I had a trial advocacy intensive class that consumed my life for an entire week, but then the rest of the semester started two days later. So my last two weeks have been pretty consumed with figuring life out for this next law school semester.
Doing my rosary and going to mass have fallen to the wayside. Even though it is ESPECIALLY when I’m busy that I need to step back and be with God. And in my spare moments, I just want to rest and do something mindless. (Like playing what my boyfriend calls a “boomer game” on my phone).
Who has time to reflect when there’s an assignment due tomorrow?
Who has time to pray when there’s a million readings to do?
Mass? I’m so tired and don’t want to get out of bed. My bird’s cage hasn’t been cleaned in two weeks and my laundry pile is making Mount Everest look like a hill. The things that are actually important in maintaining life fall to the wayside due to the power of…
