Maria Borch Jessen Promoted to VP of Operations

Some people are natural operators who seem to be able to get anything done. Some people are inspirational leaders, making the people around them better at every turn. And some people, like Maria Borch Jessen, are both, which is why we are thrilled to celebrate her promotion to VP of Operations.

Maria started her journey at The Org in November 2020, when she was hired as our Head of People & Culture. In that role she scaled the People & Culture team, attracted and converted great candidates across the company, improved our service level, and helped make The Org a great place to work. In her new role she will continue to lead the People and Culture work, while building out an Operations function.

“I’m proud to have attracted and built an awesome and resilient people team,” Maria says, “and I hope to be able to similarly build a small but mighty Business Ops function that covers all important aspects of operational support for a company of our size and maturity.”

As VP of Operations Maria will focus on how we support and deliver on our company strategy by enabling people and teams to reach their fullest potential, set them up for success by removing blockers and improving company systems and structure, and clarify success to help keep everyone accountable. All of this work is in service of continuously improving The Org.
