Case Study: Going above and beyond with the EDU token
In a series of upcoming posts, presenting you with OS.University partners and early adopters, we intend to share with you the opportunity to recreate together the best educational experiences that our platform and the token behind it can offer.
Our development team is partnering with the Center for Shared Science and Business at the Technical University of Sofia on the implementation of the blockchain-based edtech project at the Faculty of Management.
Students in Industrial Management from 2nd and 3rd year, studying ‘Industrial Engineering’ and ‘Production Management’, are being incentivized to outperform throughout their semester’s exercise classes by getting rewarded with EDU Tokens upon achieving certain milestones such as the completion of individually assigned learning pathways, formed out of MOOCs in their fields of specialty.
MOOCs completion is then to be validated and would be verified through their personal credentials’ wallets at www.os.university. Once completed, one such pilot is expected to be linked to higher engagement levels across the learners’ community and higher learning outcomes on an individual level.
Interested to test out the approach within your institution or learning community?Contact us at hello@os.university for a private integration or stay tuned for version 2.0 of our platform, which will offer hand-made learning pathways to be created, assigned, completed, and rewarded.
In the meanwhile, have a look at some of the MOOCs we’ve handpicked for TU-Sofia students group. Some of them active, some archived, all are a great source of knowledge, a learning resource worth sharing!
