“Achieving Sustainability in Higher Education & Research, Based on the Application of Open Source Blockchain Innovation for Systemic Change”.

This was the topic our research project lead presented at the International Young Scientists Forum, held in the New Bulgarian University (NBU) with the participation of its Italian partners from the oldest university in the western world — University of Bologna, as well as the world’s №1 in humanitarian studies — La Sapienza, Rome, and the University of Urbino.

The results of the forum will be summarized in the form of Memorandum, but among the most exciting ones is the mutual agreement to create an open academic journal, based on blockchain technologies. The EDU token — a digital asset, which utility is vested in the educational and research industry applications, will be leveraged to incentivize the participation of top scientists and reward the research work of young scholars in pursuing United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

Stay tuned for more details on the outcomes from the first ever ‘Academic Traditions and Innovations on The Edge of Integral Society’ conference. The plans forward, incl. the roadmap for the academic journal, will be disclosed by the Organizing Committee and approved by the Science Committee.
