Life
Life is full of surprises

I’ve gone through life with a chip on my shoulder. I wondered why
- it had to be me
- i had to be born in the family i was born into
- the challenges had to be mine
- my life couldn’t be simpler or cosier
- it had to be my family
- i couldn’t get the oil company job or the foreign based job or the higher paying job
- i couldn’t get the rich or handsome boyfriend
- my family couldn’t own the huge mansion or be filthy rich
- i had to get the best for my children when i didn’t have it
Don’t lie or pretend, you’ve wondered about some of these things too especially when it seemed life was less than fair to you or yours.
I’ll be the first to admit that in those down moments when it seemed life was dealing me a beating, I questioned GOD. Yes, I asked HIM, why me? why mine? why not someone else?
The good thing though is that I’m a typical Nigerian and I love life too much otherwise, suffice it to say, I’d have been pushed to a drastic act.
But it’s life & it’s destiny. Our destinies are different, all destinies are different. I’m experiencing life for an entirely different reason from why you are experiencing it. It took me decades to learn but I’ve finally learnt it and I’m taking it in my stride.
It’s not so much life and what it has to offer as much as it is me and what I make of my own life’s experiences.
Once I remember that, then all is fine and well with the world.
The most important thing is to remember that when life tells its stories, I’d like mine to be the most memorable story of all.
