Can a marketer ever be a spy?
THE (Marketing)WARRIOR WITHOUT VANITY…
War strategies for marketing!
THE WARRIOR WITHOUT VANITY
(Sixth in the series called “The Martial Marketer”. War strategies for work!)
Like a storm that comes without notice
He rages through his enemies
Before they know what hit them
they would have met their maker
A warrior who knows the real power of victory
Lies in stealth and surprise
And so he remains masked
as do his warriors
The masked bandits who strike at will
Killing only those armed
Taking nothing other than the victory
And allegiance of the people to their new king
When he comes
and how
is never known.
That’s the way he wants it.
For the real power lies in the mystery,
the aura, and the myth.
The reality, though,
is quite different.
He refuses neither to be named,
Nor recognized.
The only incentive being
the Freedom to do as he will
Just, ethical, and extremely economic.
In deed, word, and expense.
Striking only when he knows victory is certain.
And more often, his mere presence guarantees a victory,
Without bloodshed.
Can any victory then, be sweeter?

When a leader doesn’t want any publicity, neither credit for courage or praise for wisdom, what do you call such a person? Is such a person a part of myths and fables?
Such a leader studies the battlefield and his enemies; knows them inside out. Ensuring victory by making no mistakes and timing the attack to perfection.
When the enemy doesn’t know you and your moves, what will they counter with?
In secrecy lies his victory.
A marketer, therefore, needs to be a spy. Knowing when to be hidden and when to expose the strategies.
Lessons from Sun Tzu.
This is the sixth in the series called “The Martial Marketer”. War strategies for work!
1. Marketing Camouflage! Success is sweet.
2. A Trojan variation to defend and attack.
3. Victory at all costs.
4. Size does matter.
5. Fight the fight within, first.
