NFL Announces Nominees for Castrol Edge Clutch Performer of the Year

Today, the National Football League five finalists for the “Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer of the Year.” Per the NFL, the award is given to “the best performer or performance of the year that represents strength in key moments” as voted by fans. The winner will be announced at the NFL Honors ceremony during Super Bowl Week on February 3.

The five finalists all come from playoff-teams with injured MVP candidate Carson Wentz from the Super Bowl-bound Eagles leading the way.

Week 7 — Carson Wentz throws four touchdowns in Eagles’ win

Week 10 — Mark Ingram’s 131 rush yards and three touchdowns in Saints’ win

Week 11 — Drew Brees throws for 385 yards in Saints’ overtime win

Week 12 — Antonio Brown’s 169 receiving yards in Steelers’ win

Divisional Playoffs — Stefon Diggs’ 61-yard game-winning touchdown in Vikings’ win
