Ready? Let’s Go!
Lightsaber
“Away put you weapon, I mean you no harm.” — Yoda
Ken Giang made this kick-ass 1:1 replica of a Star Wars Lightsaber over the course of a week on his FDM 3D printer. The model has been featured by Ultimaker and is designed by Jacky aka Valcrow. The files for replicating this model on your own 3D printer can be found over on YouMagine.
Crossguard Lightsaber
The cool thing about this particular build from Le Fabshop is that it is fully customizable, meaning that you can interchange pieces to make a single lightsaber or even Darth Maul’s double-bladed lightsaber. Ultimately, you can create a lightsaber that is truly unique to you.
Stormtrooper Helmet
“Patience you must have, my young Padawan.” — Yoda
This is by far the best full-scale Stormtrooper helmet available, which was designed by skilled 3D modeler Geoffro to be printable on almost every machine. The helmet is composed of 16 parts and although some assembly is required, it really is worth making your own Stormtrooper helmet for bragging rights.
Rey’s Speeder Bike
Michal Mistza turned the Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ fictional universe into a reality.
This tinkerer constructed this authentic piece of Star Wars merchandise — utilizing 3D printing, drone tech, and some thorough post-processing.
“There’s been an awakening.” — Supreme Leader Snoke
This fully-functional remote controlled Star Wars vehicle is truly a hobbyist’s masterpiece.

“Now this is pod racing!’’ — Anakin
TIE Fighter
Cuddle Burrito converted a Star Wars Tie fighter toy into a flying drone of the Starfighter.
The body has been 3D printed in ABS plastic and consists of 12 parts that use the Hubsan X4 quadcopter as a base to create the working RC Tie Fighter.
For detailed project instructions, 3D printed parts and more check his blog post. See here the video of the Tie Fighter’s maiden flight.
Low-Poly Darth Vader & Stormtrooper
Designed in celebration of the new Star Wars release, these Low-poly Vader and Stormtrooper figurines designed by Flowalistik are quick and easy print. Known for his ability to create high quality and reliable low-poly figurines, these are a couple of prints that you won’t want to miss (they’ll also look pretty good on your desk for the rest of the year — just sayin’).
