“No Soliciting” Stickers available at Palmyra Police Station

Maybe you don’t want to be disturbed during dinner, or maybe you work at night and don’t want to be roused during a good day’s sleep.

In May 2017, the Borough Council amended Chapter 197 of the Borough Code regulating peddling and soliciting that included a “NO KNOCK” provision, giving residents the right to be free from door to door soliciting.

Residents that elect to have no contact with solicitors may display a sticker (see below) that is issued by the Palmyra Police Department. Simply display it prominently on your outer most front door.

Stickers may be picked up at the Police Station Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Violators can be fined if they are a disturbance in the community.
